The concept of a one word theme for the year has always seemed a little gimmicky to me. Is it just a way to avoid setting some clear cut objectives. Is there a yes/ and in this? Can I set objectives for my annual theme word? And can I measure success the theme.

My word theme if I had one would be "connection". BY that I mean deep meaningful connection. How will I measure success?
